Idaho Falls

We stopped at Idaho falls on our way to Yellowstone.  It was not too far off the exit and was a good rest stop for us.

You can find the falls by following the directions below:

Directions:From I-15 at Idaho Falls, take exit 118 (Broadway St.). Drive east on Broadway towards the city center for about 0.2 miles. Turn left on River Parkway, just before crossing the bridge, and find a place to park along the road.

The falls are pretty and there is a Mormon Temple in the background.

Mill Creek Falls

Mill Creek Falls is an urban waterfall in Cleveland, Ohio.  It may also be known as Cataract Falls.

Directions:  go to the  Mill Creek Falls History Center  Look for directions to this and you will find the falls right there.  Just use their parking lot.

The area is trick to drive around.  Lots of one way roads.  I was later told by friends that this was not the best area.  I didn't seem to notice when I was there.

There was small parking lot and then a short walk to observation deck to see the falls.

Hayden Falls

Hayden falls are in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio.  They are located in Griggs Reservoir Park.  It is just a short walk down some stairs and down a boardwalk.  When you get to the end you will see a sign that says no swimming.  But there were tons of people swimming here.  Warning:  We did see a snake and a turtle in the water that day.

The falls are very nice, especially for how easy they are to get to.

Directions to falls:  I-270 take Exit 15 and head east on Tuttle Crossing Blvd. Take a right onto Franz Rd, and then a left onto Hayden Run Rd. The parking area will be on your right.

Boyce MaviewPark Waterfalls

Boyce Mayview Park is a local park in Upper St. Clair, Pa.  It has several hiking trails and a few small waterfalls.

We used this map to find the waterfalls:  http://www.twpusc.org/rec/parks/boycemay/trails/map_front.pdf

We parked on the street and walked down to the Morton trail to see Morton Falls.

Then we drove to the little falls trail and tried to see little falls but it had not water, and this was after a huge rain storm.  The trail is super narrow and very muddy.  It was very slippery and somewhat dangerous in parts.

We also took the Woodlands Trail to the biggest waterfall in the park which we just call boyce-mayview falls.

We saw this side falls also

Brandywine Falls

Brandywine Falls is in Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Cleveland.  The falls are on Brandywine Road and is seen on the park maps on line or at the park.

There is a parking lot here and short walk to a boardwalk viewing area.  You can walk the road and go across to the other side for a different view.

Both views are off to the side.  I didn't see an easy way to go into the gorge and get a more head on photo.  I was pregnant at the time so I may not have looked that hard.

The falls are very big.

Also in this park (but another area is Blue Hen falls and buttermilk falls).
